This mural was painted on a temporary facade protecting the new storefronts at 2012 Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley, California. The mural was only up for a few months while the building behind was renovated. The wall had already been primed a bright pink, so I adapted my color palette to match the existing base. The image was painted I did a scale illustration for the client to approve, but then did the entire painting with no guides, projectors, or pencils based on the rough.
